Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician
Location: Tewksbury, MA
Duration: 6 months Contract to Fulltime Hire
These are the scanners that we put our luggage through at airports. The team works on these and runs tests to to make sure the scanners are running proficiently.
Must- Haves (Hard Skills)
Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T), Reading engineering prints, technical reports, raw material specifications, acceptance test Reports, Quality Assurance Inspection of Received Goods, Measuring Gauges / CMMs / Micrometers, Height / Plug / Thread gauges, Go / No-Go gauges, Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Nice-To- Haves (Hard Skills)
Gauge Relilability & Repeatability (GR&R), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), familiar with ANSI Z1.4 Sampling plans for receiving inspection
This role will provide overarching QA support including directing implementation of QA/QC practices into the manufacturing process, drive standard work, monitor staff performance; including aligning staff to appropriate areas based on skills/capabilities. This role is essential to perform 1st shift final operational test/verification (system), support Factory Acceptance Testing (with/without customer), final paperwork/packaging review prior to shipment and perform supplier audits/qualification. This person will manage CARs/SCARs for the facility; RCCA training (as needed); and update Quality documents for the facility.
Details of the project this role will support : B220 Desktop Explosives and Drug Trace Detector for commercial airports.
What have others done to succeed in this position: Have a willingness to learn new things, possess skills in metrology and receiving inspection, prior experience in laboratory or technical field using chemicals proves useful, prior experience with statistical process control, measurement gauges of all types, good customer and communication skills at all levels, good positive attitude and work ethic.

This consultant will be responsible for verification and validation, testing, quality assurance, and/or process improvement. Activities include reviews and evaluations of products or processes. Typically responsible for test, methods, and procedures to ensure continuous improvement to software quality assurance standards.
